About me
Maitri is a product designer and an ambitious cognitive scientist who calls San Francisco home while her values stem from her multicultural Indian heritage. Currently, she is pursuing a Master's degree in Interaction Design from the California College of the Arts. While at CCA, she’s working as a Social Impact Design Partner with CNN to redefine its connection with the younger audience by focusing on political and voting literacy as its engagement strategy.
Maitri considers her superpower to be her ability to cultivate deep emotional connections to design experiences that speak directly to the heart. She thrives when she’s structuring informational chaos and her silent dialogue is sketching, through which she decodes complexity to voice the ideas in her mind.
My experience
My communities
In addition to the vibrant design community, I've had the privilege of engaging with various rich and culturally diverse groups. Through collaboration, mentorship, and shared learning experiences, these communities have played a pivotal role in molding my personal and professional values. They have honed my ability to attune to the nuanced, often unarticulated needs of individuals, empowering me to truly empathize and stand in solidarity with them in addressing their real-world challenges.
I like to recharge by
You'll find me in the kitchen, experimenting with different cuisines. Cooking is more than a hobby; it's how I express my affection and is the perfect way for me to unwind after a stressful day.
I also enjoy going on walks, being a nerd about random nature facts, playing Table Tennis and practicing my ukulele.
